I'll make this quick since I'm on limited internet usage. It's been a pretty busy week so far, going to both Hong Kong and Law Camp consecutively. Both were really quite fun, and I could really see the effort put in by both Zhen Xiong and the year 2s to make both events really epic win. So kudos, both of you!

Ok I also just got my new laptop from acer, whose sole entire purpose of existence is to play starcraft two. yeap, it's not just a uni laptop..

ok, I said it'd be quick right?

I think it's about time I finally got around to writing something substantial. It's now the end of april, and I've ORDed for a few months now. To be honest it feels like nothing's changed much nowadays. I wake up at 9+, laze around for a few months before going to work at the student care centre. It's quite a good life to lead, and it funds my lifestyle adequately, so I have nothing to complain.

I've tried to dedicate this time period of my life to re-connecting with people I've lost touch with, reaffirm the existing ones I have and to finally make as many new friends as I can. I managed to re-take up rock climbing, alittle bit more seriously this time, and so far it's proving to be quite the engaging and entertaing pastime. I know I have a long long way to go, but I've liked what I've learnt and done so far and I'd like to keep doing this on a more permanent basis if possible.

I've tried my best to hang out as much as I can with the BFC and the judokas but I'll have to say I've been doing quite a bang-up job. I don't think the fault lies with anyone except myself, and I'll guess I have to try harder. For anyone whom I've managed to piss off over the few weeks( and I think I can think of a few), my apologies, and bear with me like you've always have. I'll be a saturday night soon enough.

Anyway, uni's been on my mind often enough. I'm both excited and apprehensive at starting this new phase of life, and I know it's going to be quite a challenge balancing both my CCAs and studying again. But I guess it's nothing I haven't done before, so I just think I might be able to pull it off.

Alright, that's about it I guess. My brother's coming back home tomorrow for his 1st bookout. Wonder what he's gonna look like, haha!

Sent my brother into the army yesterday. Took the bus, penguin transport to tekong again. Was reminded of salmon returning to their original spawning ground. well he's in zulu company in rocky hill. walked around abit, ate the canteen food(roti john and mee goreng still as good) before coming back.

I'd blog alittle more but I want to finish up how i met your mother first. later.

'Jane saved $360 of her monthly income and spent 1/6 of the rest on transport. After spending $240 on clothes, she found that she still had 1/3 of her monthly income left. What is her monthly income?'

Anyone who knows how to solve the above question WITHOUT USING ALGEBRA, kindly step forward! Clement and I racked our brains yesterday to no avail. I personally spent the entire afternoon yesterday trying to figure out the proper primary school method but I couldn't. (The answer btw is $1080.)

Teaching at the student centre is pretty ok so far. The hours are really nice because I can wake up as late as I want to and the night is still free for me to do stuff. The kids there range from downright destructive to obedient, intelligent ones so it can be both challenging and fun at the same time.

Not much else to report! that's about it for now haha.

the stint at xin min's over, and I've learnt many interesting and important things about the education system. Teaching was certainly a stimulating experience, and I now have a lot more respect for my teachers who taught an insolent brat like me back when I was in school. Anyway, I start work at Clement's Uncle's tuition centre today; while it doesn't pay as much as xin min, I don't have to wake up at 0540 anymore to take a bus to school.. so hopefully it all goes well today. Will be teaching Primary school children, hopefully they won't be too much of a handful. Wish my luck!

I'm really tired nowadays, and my energy levels are pretty low. While teaching at xin min isn't a chore, it's certainly more exhausting that I thought it would be. the hours are nicer than army though, and I find it nice that I'm now able to come home at earlier hours. the only problem is waking up at 0530 everyday to take the bus to work. It's pretty early, and the fact that the school doesn't sell Kopi Bing doesn't help matters. Still, the pace is pretty good so far, with just around 3 lessons a day before ending at aroound 1 or 2. I'm pretty grateful for the job, although it really hasn't been easy so far. Well, it's just for 2 weeks anyway. Hopefully it'll get better as I go along.

Alright. time for dinner before I hit the sack early tonight.
